Support Worker

Job Description

We are currently looking for a support worker to work within a special educational needs school located in Nuneaton. This is an all through SEND school that caters for students with autism who are three to sixteen years of age. The school is interested in hearing from individuals with a support working background, as well as individuals with a background in education. The school has outstanding facilities and maintain a high staff to student ratio, ensuring that learners receive the best possible learning experience.

This position will start as soon as possible and continue until July next year, with the potential of becoming permanent for the right candidate. You will be expected to support students on a one-to-one basis, as well as working with small groups. We are looking for a proactive individual to support the class teacher with the day to day running of lessons, ensuring that all students receive a high level of support. This is a full-time position, and you will be expected to work from 8.30 am to 15.30 pm, Monday to Friday.

The Role:

  • You will need to be adaptable and build relationships quickly.
  • You will be joining a large staff team that provide a personalised learning experience for all students within the school.
  • You will ideally have professional or personal experience of working with special educational needs.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
