Are you passionate about education and dedicated to making a difference in children’s lives? Zest Education is currently working with a lovely primary school in Burntwood, and they are seeking a dedicated full-time Year 5 Teacher to join their team. The role is due to start January 2024 for at least one academic term.
The school prides itself on having a team of exceptionally committed staff who work collaboratively with each other, the wider community, and parents/carers. Their main objective is to provide the best possible education to support the children throughout their primary school journey and prepare them for the future.
Responsibilities:
– Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to a Year 5 class, ensuring all students are actively involved in the learning process.
– Plan and prepare well-structured lessons that align with the national curriculum, taking into account the individual needs and abilities of the students.
– Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies to support their development.
– Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting respect, cooperation, and a love for learning.
– Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, contribute to the school’s continuous improvement, and participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
– Experience teaching in a primary school setting, particularly with Year 5 students.
– Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and a creative approach to lesson planning.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents/carers, and colleagues effectively.
– Ability to create a safe and nurturing learning environment that supports the holistic development of students.
– Commitment to ongoing professional development and a reflective approach to teaching.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
