SEN Teacher

Job Description

Zest is recruiting exclusively for a special educational needs (SEND) school in Telford for a full time Teacher to join their team. This position is due to begin February 2024 and will continue on a long-term basis.

The school provides a broad, balanced, and relevant curriculum to students between the ages of 6 and 19 years who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties and Autism. As a Class Teacher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the students receive the education they deserve, tailored to their unique needs and abilities.

To be successful in this role, you must take a creative approach to teaching. You will have the opportunity to design and deliver lessons that engage our students and maximize their achievement. It is essential that you have experience in planning, delivering, and teaching lessons. Alongside this, a relevant Teaching Qualification is required to ensure a high standard of education is provided to our students.

While previous experience of working in an SEN environment would be desirable, we believe that excellent teaching skills, the right motivation, personal qualities, and levels of resilience are equally important. We value individuals who are committed to building relationships with all our young people, as this encourages their interest and active participation in their education.

The school strive to create an environment that is stimulating and purposeful for all our pupils. You will have the opportunity to promote teaching and learning outside the formal classroom settings, allowing students to thrive and develop holistically.
