Part time teacher

Job Description

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic teacher looking for a new opportunity? Zest Education is currently recruiting for a part-time PPA teacher position at a busy primary school in Smethwick.

As a PPA teacher, you will be part of the team responsible for covering across KS1 and KS2 year groups for three days a week (Monday to Wednesday). This role is scheduled to start after the February half term and will continue until July 2024.

The school caters to a diverse range of pupils, including a significant number of EAL children. It is a fast-paced environment that requires a dynamic individual who can adapt quickly to different learning needs of the school and the children.

You will have the opportunity to work in a school with fantastic on-site facilities, including ample on-site parking. The two large outdoor playing fields provide an excellent space for engaging and interactive lessons and break out time also.

The Head of the school is seeking an innovative and reliable individual who can hit the ground running. As a part-time PPA teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of learning and supporting the core teaching staff.

Key Responsibilities:
– Delivering high-quality PPA cover across the primary school
– Providing support and guidance to children with diverse learning needs
– Collaborating with the teaching staff to ensure seamless curriculum delivery
– Contributing to feedback on pupil progress where required

Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (valid UK)
– Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to different learning styles
– Passion for creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
