We have a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Teaching Assistant to work in a special educational needs school located in Shifnal. This role is required for an immediate start and will continue on a long term basis.
This school caters for children from the age of five to thirteen with Autism (ASC). Due to the needs of the learners, the ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with individuals with special educational needs.
The school is improving within academic and attainment levels and is continually looking to ensure their students develop into respectable and inspiring individuals. It is important to this school that each individual student receives a high standard of education, due to this reason each class has a maximum of nine students based on their ability. You may be required to work in a variety of these classes, so it is important that you are flexible to meet the student’s needs.
You will be supporting the teacher with delivery of lessons, creating resources, and supporting the students with their daily activities either on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
