Zest Education are currently seeking an experienced Teacher of French to join a secondary school in the Harborne area. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone passionate about teaching French to students across KS3 and KS4. The role is due to commence in September 2025 and will run for a minimum of one term.
– Plan and deliver engaging and effective French lessons to students at KS3 and KS4.
– Develop lesson plans and instructional materials that cater to the needs of diverse learners.
– Assess and evaluate students’ progress and provide feedback on their performance.
– Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and promotes student participation.
– Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive French curriculum.
– Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.
– Maintain accurate records of student attendance, achievements, and behaviour.
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a specialism in French.
– Experience teaching French at KS3 and KS4 levels.
– Familiarity with the UK national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
– Strong knowledge of French language and culture.
– Highly organised, with good time management skills.
– Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
– Skilled in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
– Ability to speak a second Modern Foreign Language (i.e. Spanish or German) is desirable.
