Teacher of History

Job Description

Zest Education are seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join a secondary school in the Halesowen area. This full-time role where planning and marking of lessons up to Key Stage 5 is required. The role is due to commence in April 2025 and will run for a minimum of one term, with possibility of further extension.

The school has a strong reputation for academic excellence and high standards, and they are looking for a passionate educator who can uphold these values. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding and enthusiasm for History, as well as the ability to engage and inspire students in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver engaging history lessons to students up to Key Stage 5
– Assess and mark student work, providing constructive feedback to support their progress
– Monitor and track student performance, implementing interventions where necessary
– Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
– Participate in school events and activities, contributing to the wider school community

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification
– Experience teaching History at secondary level, including up to Key Stage 5
– Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
– Commitment to continuous professional development
