Zest Education is excited to announce a unique opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work within a special educational needs school in Cannock.
This role is to work full-time, starting ASAP on a long-term basis. The school caters to students aged 3-18 with SEMH needs, and we are looking for someone with previous experience working with children or young adults in a classroom or support work/care setting.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will collaborate closely with class teachers and staff members to provide crucial support to students in their development and learning journey. This role may involve managing challenging behaviour from students, so confidence in employing positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation strategies is essential.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated empathy, patience, and resilience in working with children with complex needs. Your mission will be to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
