Zest Education is currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our a secondary special educational needs school in Nuneaton.
As a full-time role, the school are looking for someone who can start immediately. This school caters to students aged 11-18 with a wide range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities, including Autism (ASC), Down Syndrome, Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues (SEMH), Communication difficulties, and other health-related, mental, or physical difficulties. Prior experience in supporting individuals with special educational needs (SEND) is essential.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and implementing individual learning plans for our students. These plans are specifically designed to support them in gaining employment and increasing their level of independence as they prepare for adulthood. You will be responsible for recording and tracking progress and achievements, ensuring that all learning experiences and opportunities are fully documented.
Promoting high standards of welfare, self-care, and independent living skills is also a key aspect of this role. The schools aim is to empower our students and facilitate their personal growth, helping them become more self-reliant and confident individuals.
