Learning Support Assistant

Job Description

Zest is recruiting exclusively for a SEND school in Solihull for a full time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team. This is a full-time position, starting as soon as possible and continuing for the remainder of the academic year. For the right candidate, there is potential for a permanent role. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

The school offers support to a wide age range, from 3 to 18 years old, and focuses on providing a nurturing and encouraging environment for individuals with severe learning disabilities (SLD). The main objective is to ensure the best educational outcomes for the children.

The role:

  • You will be required to work with the students individually and in small groups, supporting with all areas of the curriculum.
  • You must be passionate about working with students with special educational needs and have previous experience of working in a special school or similar environment.
  • You will be confident, enthusiastic and be able to identify and engage with different learning needs.

The rate of pay for this role would be between £76 -£90  per day depending on experience and references.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
