Classroom Assistant – Year 4

Position: Year 4 Classroom Assistant

The school based on the outskirts of Longbridge is a dedicated and nurturing school. They are committed to providing a supportive and stimulating learning environment for students, ensuring they thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Zest are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Year 4 Classroom Assistant to support a dedicated teaching staff and enrich the learning experience of students. This position is due to start as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing, and capable of fostering a positive and engaging classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Year 4 teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Support individual students and small groups to enhance their learning experience.
• Help prepare classroom materials and resources.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support students with their social and emotional development.
• Assist with administrative tasks as required.
• Participate in school events, trips, and extra-curricular activities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience working with children, preferably within a school setting.
• A relevant qualification in education or child development is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• A patient, caring, and empathetic nature.
• Commitment to the wellbeing and development of all students.

Pay starts at £75 per day.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
