Job Description

Zest Education, in partnership with a delightful school in Cannock, is seeking a dynamic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis starting from September 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting year groups 3, 4, 5, and 6 from Monday to Friday.

As a Cross-Year Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
– Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and activities
– Supporting individual students with their learning and development
– Collaborating with colleagues to create a positive learning atmosphere
– Monitoring and evaluating student progress to ensure academic growth

As a Cross-Year Teaching Assistant, the ideal candidate should possess the following:
– Previous experience working in a similar role within a primary school setting
– Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, teachers, and parents
– Ability to adapt teaching strategies to cater to the varying needs and abilities of students across different year groups
– Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons under the guidance of the class teacher
– Provide one-to-one support for students who require additional help in their learning journey
– Foster a positive learning environment that promotes inclusivity and academic growth

Pay will begin £76.92 per day and will depend on experience and references.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
