Job Description

Zest Education, in collaboration with a wonderful school in Smethwick, is currently seeking a dynamic teacher to join their team on a 0.6  (3 days a week) basis. This position is available from the beginning of the academic year and will be set to continue until the end of the academic year ( July 2025).

As the Year 5 teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering a purposeful, stimulating, and broad curriculum that caters to the diverse needs and abilities of all our learners. You will have the opportunity to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, where students can thrive and make good progress at their own pace. By fostering a love of learning, you will empower your students to develop the necessary skills and knowledge for success in life.

Key Responsibilities:
– Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the national curriculum objectives and the school’s unique approach to education.
– Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of each student, ensuring that all learners are appropriately challenged and supported.
– Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes mutual respect, cooperation, and a love for learning.
– Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to drive improvement.
– Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
– Engage in professional development opportunities to continually enhance your teaching practice.

Requirements:
– Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
– Experience teaching Year 5 or relevant age group is desirable.
– Strong knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
– Genuine passion for education and a commitment to nurturing the holistic development of students.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
