Maths/ICT Teacher

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Maths and ICT teacher for a special educational needs college located in Derby. This school caters for students from the age of eleven to eighteen with autism and associated needs, so we are looking for someone to that has supported with SEND.  It is not essential for you to have experience within SEND environments, as you will be supported by experienced support staff who know the students well.

This role is due to start as soon as possible and will continue until the end of the academic year on a full time basis. It has been outlined that it is highly likely that the position will be extended and for the right person, and potentially become permanent. You will be expected to take on the full teaching role, including marking and planning all lessons.

The role:

  • Teaching a small class size of seven autistic students, while being supported by three learning support assistants.
  • You will have experience of working with SEND and a good understanding of ASC.
  • This positions suits teachers from a secondary background.
