Zest Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced PPA Cover Teacher to join our team in providing essential support to secondary schools across South Birmingham. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher to make a positive impact while enjoying flexibility in their work schedule.
Responsibilities:
• Provide PPA cover for secondary school teachers, delivering engaging and structured lessons in accordance with school curriculum guidelines.
• Effectively manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning and support students’ progress.
• Prepare and organise resources for PPA sessions, ensuring a seamless transition for students.
Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching across secondary Key Stages (KS3 and KS4).
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks.
• Effective classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students during PPA sessions.
• Flexibility and availability to work part-time hours as required.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
