Teaching Assistant, Walsall.

Zest Education is proud to be working with a very well reputable SEND school in the Walsall area. This school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to start in October 2022 on a full-time basis for the remainder of the academic year.

This school caters for children from the age of four to sixteen with moderate learning difficulties, however majority of the pupils have additional needs, including autism, speech, language and communication difficulties and some behavioural issues. All pupils are taught in small classes with a maximum of nine students in each.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a special educational need’s environment and is confident with their behaviour management. This school does follow the Team Teach behaviour management strategy so experience or knowledge of this would be advantageous. You will be working alongside the teacher and supporting with the delivery of lessons. You must have a flexible approach in order to meet a range of complex needs. The successful candidate will play a vital role in improving the quality of pupils learning.

The role:

  • You must have previous experience supporting individuals with special educational needs, mental health difficulties or within a care environment
  • You will be working within a fast paced and ever-changing environment
  • You must be a dedicated individual to providing children with a secure and supportive learning environment
