Part-time Teaching Assistant
We are currently looking for a part-time Teaching Assistant for a special educational needs school located in Telford. This position is due to start ASAP and will continue for the remainder of the academic year. You must be able to commit to four days a week (which can be discussed at interview) 8:30-15:30.
This school caters for children from the age of seven to sixteen with Autism (ASC). Although this position is to work in a school environment, we are open to receiving applications from TA’s, support workers and individuals that have worked with adults with special educational needs.
This school strives to help each child develop their academic, social and practical abilities to their highest level. You will be required to work with the students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of the needs of working in an alternative provision and will be able to forge positive and mutually respectful relationships with colleagues and students

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
