Full Time English Teacher

Job Description

Are you a motivated, passionate and creative English teacher currently looking for work? Zest is working with a school in Erdington, of which one is looking for a full time English teacher for at least one term, with possible extension depending on performance. This is a great way of getting that bit more experience or getting back in the world of teaching.

The school itself is a busy, driven and diverse school supporting all academic abilities with the motivation to get the best out of every single one of its students. It is based in a very convenient place for both private and public transport making this role very appealing.

The role will require a teacher that is enthusiastic about the subject, willing to try and pass on their love for it down to its students. With a range of different backgrounds, it will require that ‘never give up’ attitude with a strong motivation to get the best out of all.

Successful candidates will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of English and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  • A team ethic with the will to be part of a team
  • A never give up attitude
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.
