Y5 Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education are urgently seeking a passionate and dedicated Y5 Primary School Teacher to join a vibrant school in Lichfield. This role is due to start after Easter until at least the end of the academic year. ECT’S are welcome to also apply for this role.

The school is a one form entry primary where children lie at the heart of everything they do. They want to make sure every pupil receives the same opportunities, and want to address inequality both inside and outside of the classroom.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating young learners, fostering a positive and engaging classroom environment, and implementing effective behaviour management strategies. This role is crucial in shaping the foundational skills of students in early childhood education, ensuring they develop both academically and socially.

Duties

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that meet the curriculum requirements and cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Educate students in various subjects, including literacy, numeracy, and social studies, using innovative teaching methods.
  • Implement behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive educational environment.
  • Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation from all students.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience for students.

Experience

  • A degree in Education or a related field with a focus on Early Childhood Education is essential
  • Previous experience teaching children the British Curriculum is essential.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with students and parents.
  • Demonstrated ability in behaviour management techniques to support student engagement and learning.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and nurturing young minds is crucial for success in this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
