Zest Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a special educational needs school in Tamworth. This full-time position requires your presence from 8:30am to 15:30pm, Monday to Friday, with an immediate start date.
Our school focuses on nurturing students with Autism, aged three to eleven, across 12 classes. This school prioritise creating a happy and inclusive environment for both students and staff to enhance the overall learning experience. As a candidate, you should demonstrate a willingness to engage with all students effectively and contribute to promoting happiness within the school community.
We are looking for individuals who are flexible, attentive, and have a strong background in working within a SEND setting. Your role will involve supporting students with their learning, managing behaviours, and maintaining a conducive classroom environment. Experience working in special educational needs environments is essential, as you will be providing individual and small group support to students of different age groups.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
