Learning Support Assistant.
Zest Education are working with a special needs school situated in Nuneaton to recruit an enthusiastic, hard-working, and results driven Learning Support Assistant who has experience working with SEND children. This is a full-time position due to begin October 2022 and will continue on a long-term basis.
The school caters for children from the age of five to sixteen with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). The ideal candidate must have experience supporting individuals with special educational needs.
This is a busy school who have a strong team of staff who put the children at the heart of everything they do. The school has a growing reputation in the area providing all children with the access to a creative and engaging curriculum.
The role will require you to quickly build engaging relationships with small groups of children, and you will need to work closely with an experienced team. You will be supporting the class teacher with the delivery of lessons and supporting the students to identify, meet and exceed their educational targets. You will be working with the children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, so it is important that you have a flexible approach to meet each individual child’s needs.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
