Support Worker 

Are you passionate about education and working with children? Do you have any school based within the last 5 years?

If so, Zest Education are working alongside a special educational needs school in Cannock to recruit for a Support Worker. The school would love the candidate to start ASAP to work on a part time basis. This role is to continue through to the end of the academic year.

This school caters for students from the age of five to eighteen with a wide range of educational difficulties from moderate to severe and complex needs; some of the students have additional physical, sensory, and autistic conditions.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate that they are keen to learn, have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, ability to work well in a team and enjoy working with small children. You need to be committed to providing the children with exceptional learning and support, in a fun and caring classroom environment and be willing to go that extra mile.

The role:

• You will need to be confident, enthusiastic and be able to identify and engage with different learning needs
• You will need to be passionate to build trusting relationships with the children to help them manage the learning challenges they may face
• To assist the students to learn as efficiently as possible on a one-to-one basis and in small groups

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
