Job Description

Zest education have been asked to help a Secondary School near Burton on Trent to recruit a full time Spanish speaking Teacher for an initial period of one half term but this role is likely to extended in an ongoing position, starting September 2024.

The school are ideally looking for a Spanish Teacher that is passionate and creative in their ways of teaching a foreign language. The school was rated ‘good’ in their latest Ofsted inspection. The school aims to encourage their students to be ambitious, think of others and to achieve their dreams, their creative and dynamic learning programmes ensure all students are able to work towards achievable targets resulting in rising academic results across the board.

The successful applicant will have:
  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for the subject of German and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
