Job Description

Zest Education have the privilege of working with a Secondary school in Staffordshire to source a Computer Science teacher. This role is part time (0.6) to start September 2024 for one half term, this role has the potential to be extended for the rest of the academic year.

The school is centrally located meaning it is easily accessible on public transport or with you own vehicle with ample onsite parking available. This inner city school has a brilliant reputation in the local community for its high standards of achievements which is only improving year on year.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for Computer Science / ICT and be able to create engaging and diverse lessons across KS3 and KS4. Some level of knowledge at KS5 would also be an advantage.

Candidates should have the following;
  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for the subject of ICT and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
