Learning Support Assistant – Tamworth.
Zest Education are working with a lovely SEND school in Tamworth who require a Learning Support Assistant to start January 2023 to work on a full-time basis. This school caters for students from the age of five to eighteen with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). The successful candidate must be able to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 15:30.
You will be required to work on a 1:1 basis with a nine year old student supporting with the understanding of day-to-day tasks. We are looking for someone that has previously worked with autism or has personal experience of supporting individuals with SEND.
The team here work hard to maintain a supportive and inclusive ethos across all areas of the school and put the children at the heart of what they do. Each class has a maximum of nine students and on some occasions, you may be required to work with children in small groups as well as 1:1. The role will require you to quickly build engaging relationships with the children, and you will need to work closely as a team with the class teacher and other teaching assistants.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
