PPA teacher – September 2025

Job Description

Are you a creative and enthusiastic teacher looking for a full‑time PPA opportunity from September? We’re working with a thriving primary school in the Selly Oak area that’s looking for a dedicated teacher to cover PPA across the entire school for the full academic year. You’ll join a vibrant, two‑form entry school where every day brings new opportunities to inspire and support young learners.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons during colleagues’ PPA time, ensuring consistency and progress throughout the school. From literacy and numeracy to foundation subjects, your well-structured sessions will help maintain momentum and enable teachers to focus on preparation and assessment, safe in the knowledge that their classes are in capable hands.

You’ll work closely with subject leads and the senior leadership team to align your delivery with the school’s curriculum, ethos and values. Embracing a growth mindset, you’ll bring fresh ideas and energy, contributing positively to the school’s culture, where every child is encouraged to be confident, curious, and creative.

This full-time, term-time role offers stability and structure, with a clear rhythm to the week and academic year. You’ll start at the beginning of the school year in September 2025 and continue through to July 2026, Monday to Friday, supporting pupils across all classes. The school provides access to teaching materials, a supportive leadership team, and on-site parking for staff.

We’re looking for someone with QTS (or equivalent), strong classroom management skills, and experience delivering lessons across key stages. A collaborative spirit, flexibility, and a passion for raising attainment and nurturing children’s development are essential.

If you’re ready to step into a role that combines consistency, variety and real impact, we’d love to hear from you. To find out more, email Charlie at charlie@zesteducation.co.uk or ‘apply for job’ at the top of the page to submit your details.
