Part-Time Teacher – PRU (Pupil Referral Unit)

Location: Rugeley
Working Pattern: 3 days per week (flexible – to be discussed at interview)
Hours: Between Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Salary: Dependent on experience

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Part-Time Teacher to join our team at a supportive and dynamic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) located in Rugeley.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced educator with a passion for supporting young people who may face a variety of barriers to learning. You will play a key role in providing high-quality teaching and learning, helping pupils to engage, progress, and achieve positive outcomes in both academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to individual learning needs

• Build positive relationships with pupils who may present with challenging behaviours

• Support students with a range of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)

• Collaborate effectively with support staff and other professionals

• Contribute to a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification

• Proven experience working with SEND pupils, ideally within a PRU or alternative provision setting

• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to remain calm and consistent under pressure

• A resilient, compassionate, and adaptable approach
