Full time TA

Job Description

EYFS TA – Full time

Zest Education are delighted to be working with a fantastic primary school in the Yardley Wood area, who are currently seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team.

This rewarding role involves working on a 1-1 basis with a child with additional needs, supporting them throughout the school day in close collaboration with the school’s SENCo and implementing their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The successful candidate will provide consistent, nurturing support and will need to be comfortable with elements of personal care, always maintaining a calm, patient, and caring approach. This full-time position runs Monday to Friday and will continue for the full academic year, offering a fantastic opportunity to build strong relationships and make a lasting impact in a child’s early development.

The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification (or above) in a relevant childcare or education subject and have a solid understanding of the EYFS curriculum. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, hardworking, and a real team player—someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to giving every child the best possible start in life. A strong grasp of safeguarding procedures is essential, as is a genuine belief in the importance of helping children develop crucial life skills from an early age.

If you are passionate about making a difference and want to be part of a supportive and well-regarded school community, we would love to hear from you. To find out more, email Charlie at charlie@zesteducation.co.uk or ‘apply for job’ at the top of the page to submit your details.

Zest Education are an APSCo audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
