Job Description

Year 5 Teacher – Full Time (Moseley Area)

Zest Education is excited to be recruiting on behalf of a thriving, rapidly improving Junior School in the Moseley area. They are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and adaptable Year 5 Teacher to join their team from October half term until Easter. This full-time position offers a fantastic opportunity for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators looking to make a positive impact in a supportive and dynamic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-Time Teaching of Year 5 children across the core curriculum

  • Planning: While full planning will be provided, you will be expected to adapt these resources to meet the individual needs of your class as the role progresses

  • Encourage engagement and enthusiasm for learning

  • Support children in reaching their full potential, both academically and socially

  • Contribute to the wider school community and collaborate with staff members to promote a positive, inclusive school culture

  • Maintain high standards of classroom management, behaviour, and safety

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) – ECTs and experienced teachers welcome!

  • Passionate about teaching and learning with a strong commitment to improving outcomes for children

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents

  • An adaptable and reflective practitioner, eager to tailor your approach to meet the needs of your class

  • Experience or a willingness to work in a rapidly improving school environment, with a growth mindset
