Music Teacher

Job Description

Are you a musical educator who can strike the right chord with students?
A forward-thinking secondary school in Shrewsbury is looking for a talented and motivated Music Teacher to join their team in September 2025.

You’ll be leading KS3 and KS4 music classes, encouraging students to develop practical skills, explore different genres, and foster a lifelong love for music. Whether it’s composition, performance, or theory – your enthusiasm will be the heartbeat of the department.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS/QTLS and a degree in Music or Music Education

  • Can confidently teach music theory and practical musicianship

  • Has experience with school ensembles, concerts, or musical productions

  • Brings a nurturing and enthusiastic approach to learning

The school offers:

  • A vibrant arts faculty with a strong emphasis on creativity

  • A supportive senior leadership team that champions music education

  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression

This is a fantastic opportunity for both Early Career Teachers and experienced musicians to share their passion in a thriving school community.
