Zest Education
We are currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of special educational needs in a caring and inclusive school environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and committed to helping them reach their full potential.
Work under the direction of teaching staff to support the learning, well-being, and personal development of pupils.
Provide individualised support for children with additional learning, communication, or sensory needs.
Help implement personalised strategies and learning plans tailored to the specific needs of pupils.
Support the delivery of a creative, engaging, and inclusive curriculum.
Promote pupil independence and encourage participation in classroom activities.
Assist with managing behaviour and promoting emotional regulation using a calm and positive approach.
Carry out basic care and supervision duties, including support with mobility, feeding, or toileting, where necessary.
Work collaboratively with teachers, other staff, and external professionals.
Experience supporting children with SEND (e.g. Autism, speech and language needs, physical or sensory impairments, SEMH).
A positive, flexible, and resilient attitude.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instruction confidently.
Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
