Job Title: 1:1 Support Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)
Location: Solihull, West Midlands
Start Date: October 2025
Salary: Dependent on experience
Contract Type: Full-Time

Zest education are looking for a committed and compassionate 1:1 Support Teaching Assistant to join the nurturing and inclusive primary school community in Solihull from October 2025.

About the Role:

You will work closely with a class teacher and SENCO to provide 1:1 support for a child with additional needs, helping them access the curriculum and engage in the full life of the school. The role is ideal for someone with experience in SEND support or a strong desire to make a difference in a child’s educational journey.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the pupil’s academic, social, and emotional development

  • Adapting learning materials and activities to meet the child’s needs

  • Providing regular feedback to the teacher and SENCO on progress and challenges

  • Promoting positive behaviour and independence

  • Working collaboratively with staff and external professionals as needed

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience working with children, particularly in a primary or SEN setting

  • Demonstrates empathy, patience, and a nurturing approach

  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Understands the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding

  • Holds relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate) or equivalent experience

All of our candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
