MFL Teacher with French Specialism

Job Description

Zest Education are working on behalf of a secondary school in the Tamworth area who are urgently seeking a MFL Teacher with a French specialism to start from September 2025. This role is for a minimum of one term but may be extended should the school and the candidate decide it is necessary.

The MFL department aim to introduce students to new cultures and languages by using a range of different teaching methods and adapting lessons as and when to fit into the curriculum and the flow of the lessons. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking to be challenged to use a variety of different teaching methods and adapt to a dynamic MFL curriculum to teach across KS3 and KS4. This role will involve teaching and guiding pupils who are brand new to a second language so abilities, attitudes and experiences will play a major part in adapting their learning journeys.

A successful candidate must have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • The desire to be apart of a team and work alongside the larger MFL department
  • Strong subject knowledge in Spanish and French with the ability to teach across KS3 and KS4
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • The ability to manage a classroom and the behaviour of the students

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
