Teaching Assistant

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for several Teaching Assistant roles for an excellent SEND school located in Stoke. This school caters for children aged five to thirteen with Autism (ASC). Due to the needs of the learners, the ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with individuals with SEND.

The promotion of independence, creativity, community skills, and challenge are seen as central to all the teaching within this school. The chosen candidate will be required to work in several classrooms, supporting children with their day-to-day activities. You must be able to work on your own initiative and have good communication skills

This is a full-time position starting October 2025 until the end of the academic year. You will be required to work 8:30am to 15:30pm, Monday to Friday.

The role:

  • You have previous experience of working with individuals with special educational needs
  • You will be able to communicate clearly and effectively with both staff and students
  • You will be joining a large staff team that provide a personalised learning experience for all students within the school.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
