We have a fantastic opportunity for a part-time Teaching Assistant to work in a primary special educational needs school located in Telford. You will be required to work 3 days week, 8:30am to 15:30pm. This school caters for children from the age of five to thirteen with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Due to the needs of the children, the ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with individuals with special educational needs.
The school itself is a popular primary which encourages all children to develop into independent, respectful, and confident individuals. You will be required to work alongside the teacher, preparing the classroom and resources and to support the children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. It is important that you are dedicated to build positive relationships with the children to promote interaction and learning.
The successful candidate must be a proactive and engaging individual who has proven experience of having strong behaviour management skills and working across a range of age groups.
