Drama Teacher

Job Description

Drama Teacher – Secondary Schools – Dudley

Take the stage. Inspire the next generation of performers.

At Zest Education, we believe that learning should never be dull — and nothing sparks imagination quite like drama. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and creative Drama Teacher to bring energy, passion, and performance skills to secondary schools across Dudley.

In our partner schools, Drama isn’t just about scripts and spotlights — it’s about building confidence, developing teamwork, and giving every student a voice. Your role will be to create a safe, exciting space where pupils can express themselves, experiment with ideas, and discover talents they didn’t know they had.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Delivering engaging and imaginative Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Inspiring creativity through acting, improvisation, and stagecraft

  • Helping students develop performance, communication, and critical thinking skills

  • Directing school productions, assemblies, and creative projects

  • Encouraging students of all abilities to participate and grow in confidence

What we’re looking for:

  • QTS (or equivalent) and experience teaching Drama in a secondary setting

  • A flair for making lessons lively, inclusive, and memorable

  • Strong classroom management skills paired with a supportive teaching style

  • The ability to nurture both budding actors and reluctant performers alike

Why join Zest Education?

  • We’re a specialist education agency that puts teachers and support staff first

  • We work in close partnership with schools to match you where you’ll thrive

  • You’ll have a dedicated consultant who understands your subject and your goals

  • Flexible placements, long-term roles, and career progression opportunities are all available

At Zest Education, we’re here to champion great teaching — and in Drama, that means helping you inspire students to take risks, be bold, and own their spotlight. Whether your classroom is a stage or your stage is a classroom, we’ll help you find the role that’s your perfect fit
