1:1 Teaching Assistant

Zest Education is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a special educational needs school in Rugeley.

This role is due to begin ASAP and will continue on a long term basis for the full academic year.

In this role, you will have the extraordinary opportunity to work closely with a 9-year-old student who has complex needs. Collaborating with the classroom teacher, you will provide personalized support to ensure the student’s educational journey is inclusive and fulfilling.

The school caters to students aged 3-18 with Autism (ASC), social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH), and complex needs. To excel in this position, prior experience working with individuals with special educational needs is essential.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in their development, fostering successful relationships with the children and ensuring their unique needs are met with respect and consideration.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
