Full-Time Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Year 2 Support | Moseley
Location: Moseley, South Birmingham
Position: Teaching Assistant – Year 2 (KS1)
Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only
Hours: 8:20am – 3:45pm | Monday to Friday
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

This full-time position is ideal for a TA who is passionate about supporting young learners and ready to take on a fulfilling role in a Year 2 classroom, including vital support through the SATs period.


About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant in this Year 2 class, you will:

  • Support the class teacher with day-to-day delivery of lessons

  • Work with the whole class, small groups, and 1:1 with pupils who need additional academic support

  • Play a key role in helping children prepare for and succeed in their KS1 SATs

  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in a fun, nurturing environment

  • Communicate effectively with staff, pupils and parents to support learning progress


Who We’re Looking For

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)

  • Have recent experience working in Key Stage 1, ideally with Year 2 pupils

  • Be confident supporting pupils through the KS1 SATs process

  • Demonstrate strong literacy and numeracy skills

  • Be reliable, enthusiastic, and genuinely passionate about helping children succeed
