This full-time position is ideal for a TA who is passionate about supporting young learners and ready to take on a fulfilling role in a Year 2 classroom, including vital support through the SATs period.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant in this Year 2 class, you will:
Support the class teacher with day-to-day delivery of lessons
Work with the whole class, small groups, and 1:1 with pupils who need additional academic support
Play a key role in helping children prepare for and succeed in their KS1 SATs
Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in a fun, nurturing environment
Communicate effectively with staff, pupils and parents to support learning progress
Who We’re Looking For
To be considered for this role, you must:
Hold a minimum NVQ Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
Have recent experience working in Key Stage 1, ideally with Year 2 pupils
Be confident supporting pupils through the KS1 SATs process
Demonstrate strong literacy and numeracy skills
Be reliable, enthusiastic, and genuinely passionate about helping children succeed
