Job Title: 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (Reception) – Supporting a Child with ASD
Contract: Fixed-term / Term-time only

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a child in Reception with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Provide tailored 1:1 support during lessons and school routines
Use autism-friendly strategies (visual aids, structured routines, social stories)
Support the child’s communication, social skills, and independence
Adapt resources to meet individual needs
Record progress and contribute to planning meetings
Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and external professionals
Patient, empathetic, and resilient
Experience (or interest) in working with children with SEND
Good communication and teamwork skills
Flexible and proactive in adapting support strategies
Supportive and friendly staff team
Training and development opportunities in SEND and autism strategies
