We are looking for a part-time learning support assistant for a school located in Birmingham. This is a small special school which prides itself in creating a happy, supporting, and caring environment for the students and every student is encouraged and inspired to reach their goals and develop a love for their education. The curriculum provided is underpinned by the development of core subjects and specific skills along with an emphasis on reading and writing.
This is a part-time role requiring you to work 8:30AM-15:30PM. You will be supporting along-side the teacher and other learning support assistants working on a one-to-one basis with children or within small groups. The ideal candidate must be flexible across all age groups and have previous experience within SEND and classroom environments.
The role:
– We are looking for someone with previous special educational needs experience
– You will need to be confident with working with student with severe learning difficulties and speech, language and communication difficulties,
– Due to this school catering for a variety of ages, you will need to be adaptable

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
