Level 3 Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support – SEND) – Bournville Area
Location: Bournville, Birmingham
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full Time, 8:20am – 3:40pm (Monday to Friday)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications (£90 – £100 per day)

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to join the team in a 1:1 support role with a child in Y3 who has additional needs.

About the Role:

This rewarding position requires a caring and resilient Teaching Assistant to work closely with a child who has physical disabilities and specific learning needs. You will play a crucial role in the child’s development and daily experience at school by providing consistent, compassionate support throughout the school day.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • 1:1 support within the classroom to help the child access the curriculum

  • Providing personal care and assistance with mobility as required

  • Running tailored intervention sessions outside the classroom to support learning and development

  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff and SEND specialists

  • Using your initiative and independence to manage challenges and adapt to the child’s needs

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is:

  • Level 3 qualified in a relevant childcare or teaching support course

  • Experienced in working with children with SEND, particularly physical disabilities

  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to making a difference

  • Confident in delivering individualised learning activities outside the classroom

  • Comfortable providing personal care in a respectful and professional manner

  • A great communicator who works well in a team but is also self-motivated
