Job Description

Zest Education needs you! We are looking for a passionate, hard-working, and confident teaching assistant for a school located in Sheldon, Birmingham. This school is a community special school catering for children with PLMD ensuring they can access the best possible education whilst also gaining independence throughout their education. The school provides chances for children to discover and explore their interests, identity and potential with an enriched curriculum that promotes independence and creative thinking. This special school also underpins all its curriculum delivery through continually developing its communication work so that pupils may access their learning in a way personalised to their needs.

This is a full-time role and requires you to work Monday to Friday 8:30AM – 15:30PM supporting alongside the teacher and other teaching assistants within the school. The ideal candidate will have previous experience with PLMD and within a classroom environment.

The role:

–              We are looking for someone with previous special educational needs experience

–              You will need to be confident with working with student with PLMD.

–              Due to this school catering for a variety of ages, you will need to be adaptable

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
