Zest Education is proud to be working alongside a special educational need’s college based in Stoke-on-Trent that requires a full-time Learning Support Assistant. This position is due to begin November 2022 and will be ongoing until the end of the academic year. There is a possibility that the role could become permanent if the right candidate is found. You will be required to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 15:30.
This college caters for students from the age of 16 to 25 with Autism (ASC), down syndrome, social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH), and other health related, mental, or physical difficulties. The ideal candidate must have experience supporting individuals with special educational needs (SEND) or in a similar setting.
This college offers learners a highly personalised curriculum that covers core subjects through the individual programmes that learners follow. Each learner will have their own unique timetable, built around their interests and aspirations. You will be required to support the students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
