Y5 Teacher (ECT Welcome) – Balsall Heath – Start ASAP
Zest Education is working in partnership with a challenging but rewarding primary school in the Balsall Heath area, who are looking to appoint a full-time Y5 Teacher to start as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and resilient educator, including Early Career Teachers (ECTs), ready to take on their next teaching role.
The successful Y5 Teacher will lead a vibrant and energetic Year 5 class in a school that, while facing some challenges, offers a supportive leadership team and a strong commitment to improving outcomes for all pupils. The role will run until the end of the academic year, with the potential for extension based on performance and school needs.
This position is ideal for a confident Y5 Teacher who thrives in fast-paced environments and is driven to make a lasting impact on pupils’ learning and personal development. ECTs will be fully supported with induction, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
Key responsibilities for the Y5 Teacher include:
Delivering engaging, differentiated lessons across the Year 5 curriculum
Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching strategies to support individual needs
Collaborating with staff, parents, and the wider school community
Fully embracing school life and contributing to ongoing improvement
Ideal Y5 Teacher / ECT will:
Hold QTS and be eligible to complete or continue their ECT induction
Be enthusiastic, adaptable, and ready to face challenges with a positive mindset
Have strong classroom management skills and a passion for raising pupil achievement
Demonstrate a commitment to equality, inclusion, and safeguarding
