Drama Teacher

Job Description

Are you passionate about the impact Drama studies can have on young people’s lives? Are you able to encourage them to think and act creatively, thus developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills that can be applied in all areas of learning?

A school in Edgbaston are looking for a talented Drama teacher who is capable of instilling students with confidence to enjoy and utilise the benefits that drama education can bring. This is a full time role, due to start in January 2026, at a vibrant and inclusive secondary school with a supportive Head Teacher and Arts Department. With access to well-equipped drama studios and a stage in the school hall, you will have the resources needed to bring your lesson plans to life and create memorable performances.

Key responsibilities:
– Plan and teach engaging lessons that motivate the students in your subject and cater to the needs of diverse learners
– Mark and assess students work and track student progression
– Have excellent curriculum knowledge that continues to develop – particularly the new and engaging ways to teach Drama as the subject continues to evolve.
– Have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
