Here at Zest Education, we are exclusively recruiting for a learning support assistant for a school located in Birmingham. This community special day school caters for students aged 2-19 with PLMD and have a specialist unit for students who are deaf and blind. This school also collaborates closely with surrounding schools which works well for sharing good practice and success for all students. The students have a large dedicated and committed staff team who go above and beyond to provide the best possible education along with having specialist NHS staff to cater for the students physical and medical needs.
This is a full-time role where you will be working Monday to Friday 8:30AM – 15:30PM supporting alongside the teacher and other learning support assistants. The ideal candidate will have experience in SEND and classroom-based experience.
The role:
– We are looking for someone with previous special educational needs experience
– You will need to be confident with working with student with PLMD.
– Due to this school catering for a variety of ages, you will need to be adaptable

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
