Full-Time Primary Teaching Assistant – Kings Norton, Birmingham | Immediate Start | Term Time Only

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting pupils across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, helping to create a positive and inspiring learning environment.

You will:

  • Support class teachers in delivering engaging, differentiated lessons

  • Work with small groups or individual pupils to boost progress in literacy and numeracy

  • Deliver targeted intervention sessions and provide additional academic support where needed

  • Encourage confidence, independence, and enthusiasm for learning

  • Assist with behaviour management in line with the school’s positive behaviour policy

  • Promote inclusion and emotional well-being across the classroom

  • Help prepare classroom materials and maintain a stimulating learning environment

This is a full-time, term-time only position, running Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:45pm, starting as soon as possible.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and proactive Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping young learners thrive. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of NVQ Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent

  • Experience working within a primary school setting

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

  • The confidence to support children with different learning styles and additional needs

  • A caring, patient, and professional attitude
