Teaching Assistant – 1:1 Reception Support (Autism)
Primary School – Greenford


About the role

We are seeking a nurturing, proactive and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 in Reception with a young girl with autism. This is a rewarding opportunity to support her learning, communication and confidence as she begins her school journey.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Full time role (08:30-15:30) until July 2026

  • Supporting the pupil to access learning and daily routines
  • Encouraging language, social interaction and independence

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team to follow tailored strategies

  • Creating a calm, positive and consistent learning environment

  • Observing and recording progress to support review meetings

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is warm, patient and enthusiastic

  • Has experience or a genuine interest in SEN/autism support

  • Can build strong, trusting relationships

  • Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team

  • Has a positive, solution-focused approach
