Are you looking for better work/life balance? A local school located in Birmingham are looking for a learning support assistant to support their students. This school caters for children with ASD, PLMD AND SLD and provides on and off-site learning and activities for the children. The curriculum implemented within this school is provided in a way of a mobility curriculum and a sensory curriculum – this is all underpinned by a constant development of its curriculum and communication so students can access their learning adhering to their needs. A large staff team work incredibly hard within the school by being dedicated, committed and confident in supporting their students to receive the best education and promote their independence as much as possible.
The full-time role requiring you to work 8:30AM-15:30PM supporting alongside the teacher and other teaching assistants. You will be required to work on a one-to-one basis and within small groups and due to the age groups, this school caters for, you must be flexible across all.
The role:
– We are looking for someone with previous special educational needs experience
– You will need to be confident with working with student with PLMD, ASD and ADHD.
– Due to this school catering for a variety of ages, you will need to be adaptable

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
