Female PE Teacher

Job Description

Are you a Female PE teacher currently out of work? Or looking to gain more experience in teaching? Zest Education are working with schools across the West Midlands with one in Walsall, currently looking for a PE teacher to start with them in September 2022, for a minimum of one term, this will be a full-time position.

This is a large secondary school that can offer brilliant outdoor and indoor facilities, which caters for lots of different sports and pupil abilities. The school believe physical activity is integral for a student as it helps with social skills, confidence issues and is great for mental health. Not only this but they want their students to reach any goals they have and achieve as much as they can, so support them in every way possible.

This role will require a creative, passionate, and supportive teacher that can help and drive the pupils to the best that they can be. Building relationships is a brilliant way of getting them to engage in the lessons and which in turn will make the lessons more enjoyable. Helping with extracurricular activities is also a great way to make a real good impression on the school and a good way of building relationships with the students as well as the other teachers.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of PE and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Creative and innovative teaching methods, the ability to motivate students

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
